תכנית BIRAX לרפואה רגנרטיבית (RMI) הושקה לראשונה בשנת 2015. התוכנית גייסה עד כה קרוב ל- 8 מיליון ליש"ט עבור 19 פרויקטים מחקריים משותפים, בהם מעורבים ישירות יותר ממאה חוקרים מבריטניה וישראל. החוקרים משתמשים בטכנולוגיות חדשניות וטכניקות פורצות דרך בטיפול בחולים באמצעות תאי גזע ורפואה רגנרטיבית על מנת להתמודד עם מחלות לב, מחלות כלי דם וכבד, סוכרת, פרקינסון ועוד.
